FAQs
How are your photographs printed?
I use a leading fine art and photographic printers to ensure that you receive the very best quality photographic prints.
Why do you use different papers and printing processes?
I use a range of different papers and printing processes to get the very best out of each individual photograph. Papers and printing can make such a difference to how a photograph looks and feels and so a lot of care goes into choosing the right combination. The most common processes and papers I use are…
C-Type Printing - This is very similar to traditional photographic development but instead of using a projector, a digital system is used. Photographic paper is exposed to either Lasers or LEDs, creating an image that is then developed using a traditional wet development process.
Giclée Printing - This is a process that involves printing photographs onto paper using ink, usually via an ink-jet printer. Unlike the ink-jet printer you may have at home, this method uses 11 different inks that delivers very high quality images, producing fantastic art prints.
Fuji Gloss Paper - This is a full voltage C-Type gloss paper that offers good contrast and rich colours. An excellent all round paper for accurate image reproduction. 246 GSM.
Epson Semi Gloss Paper - Used in conjunction with Giclée printing, this is an extra smooth and flat surface that produces vibrant colours and high contrast. 260 GSM.
Fuji Matt Paper - A smooth paper with a semi-matt surface, used in conjunction with C-Type printing. This is a great choice for keeping colours natural with a satin finish. 231 GSM.
Fuji Pearl Metallic Paper - A truly unique and exceptional C-Type gloss paper with a rich metallic base. Images pop right out of the paper with amazing iridescence. 242 GSM.
Hanhemühle FineArt Pearl Paper - The thickest paper I use. This Giclée paper has a pearlised satin finish that delivers a sharp and detailed image. Perfect for true fine art reproduction. 285 GSM.
Do you offer mounting and framing?
No, unfortunately I can only offer high quality photographic art prints of my work. I always feel mounts and frames are a very personal choice, to which I couldn't do justice. You can find off the shelf frames to fit the print sizes I offer and there are a number of both high cost and low cost online framers out there that offer a quality product.

It’s important that your new artwork reaches you in perfect condition. I therefore make sure that each print is fully protected prior to posting. Each print will be placed into a plastic sleeve before being dispatched inside a strong “no bend” envelope. Due to their size, 24” x 16” prints will be packed inside a cardboard roll.
All international orders will be packed inside a cardboard roll, regardless of size.
If your country isn’t listed then please contact me at contact@siprice.co.uk for a custom shipping rate.
A number of prints can fit into one envelope but I aim to pack no more than 3 prints per tube in order to protect against damage.
What if I’m not satisfied with my print?
I want you to love your new artwork but if you aren’t happy then feel free to send it back for a full refund. Just send me an email and we’ll sort it out, no problem.
Will the Copyright watermark be visible on my finished print?
No. The watermark is only visible on the webpage and won’t be printed onto the finished print that I send to you.
Is the image resolution I see on your website representative of what I will see on the finished print?
No. The images online are much smaller and range between only 1 to 2 megabytes. The actual full size image is typically more like 25 to 35 megabytes, so a much better resolution. This is what will be used to print the final artwork.
Will my print be signed?
Yes, each print will be signed, by me, on the back. If the artwork you purchase is a limited edition, the edition number will also be written on the back.
How do I care for my prints?
If you treat your prints well, they will stay looking gallery fresh for many, many years.
The best way to prolong the life of your displayed artwork is to use conservation framing. This involves using acid free mounts & backing boards and using UV protective glass. As a rule, remember to…
1) Frame or archive your prints as soon as you can to avoid exposure to pollutants.
2) Avoid touching prints with your bare hands as fingerprints are hard to remove. Your fingers could also carry contaminants that can degrade the quality of your print.
3) Avoid hanging or storing your prints in direct sunlight or near a source of heat, such as a radiator.
4) Excessive moisture and humidity are also bad for photographic art prints so avoid hanging or storing your artwork in a bathroom, steamy kitchen or a cellar.
5) Acid free materials will prolong the life of your prints so try using suitable mounts and backing boards where possible.
